Choosing a solar panel kit for your motorhome couldn’t be easier.

All SunWorks kits contain one or more solar panels and the appropriate precision charge controller. Also included is the correct cable with ready attached connectors. Each kit is supplied with fully illustrated instructions. The instructions provide step by step installation guidance and recommendations for a reliable system.

Which type of kit is best for my needs?

Standard motorhome solar panels have rigid aluminium frames. This is the most popular type of solar panel. They are attached to the roof of your motorhome using PVC mounting pads.

Also available are semi-flexible solar panels which are glued to the roof of the motorhome. They have the advantage of being very thin and so cause less windage. SunWorks FLEX kits contain this type of solar panel.

What size of solar panel?

Trickle charging your battery can usually be achieved using a 50 watt solar panel kit.

If you want to provide some surplus energy we advise fitting a 100 watt solar panel kit. This will give you additional power in the summer months and more reliable charging during the winter.

If you are interested in becoming independent of the mains hook-up you should consider fitting a 160 watt solar panel kit.

Larger vehicles with lots of electrical equipment will benefit from a 200 watt kit.

Which batteries can I charge.

Choose an SunWorks UNO kit if you only want to charge your leisure battery.

Choose a SunWorks DUO kit if you want to charge both your leisure battery and your engine battery.

Examples of suitable solar panel kits for motorhomes:

1. You want to be independent of the mains hookup and want to charge engine and leisure batteries: Choose the 160-DUO kit.

2. You only want to charge your leisure battery but need to do this reliably during summer and winter. Choose the 100-UNO kit.
