Choosing a solar panel kit for your motorhome couldn’t be easier.
All SunWorks kits contain one or more solar panels and the appropriate precision charge controller. Also included is the correct cables with fitted connectors. Each kit is supplied with fully illustrated instructions. The instructions provide step by step installation guidance and recommendations for a reliable system.
Which type of kit is best for my needs?
Standard motorhome solar panels have rigid aluminium frames. This is the most popular type of solar panel. They are attached to the roof of your motorhome using PVC mounting pads.
Mean Power Point Tracking is a technology which can extract between 5% and 30% more power from your solar panels depending on conditions e.g. in low to medium sunlight, or when your battery is particularly low on charge. To take full advantage of this technology our MPPT kits use special Votronic charge controllers and heavy duty cables.
Which batteries can I charge.
Choose an SunWorks UNO or MPPT kit if you only want to charge your leisure battery.
Choose a SunWorks DUO or MPPT kit if you want to charge both your leisure battery and your engine battery.
Examples of suitable solar panel kits for motorhomes:
1. You want to be independent of the mains hookup and want to charge engine and leisure batteries: Choose the 160-DUO kit.
2. You only want to charge your leisure battery but need to do this reliably during summer and winter. Choose the 100-UNO kit.
