I purchased the complete kit from Sunworks, the dual controller, 80w panel, cable mounts and sealant/glue. You need to have some DIY skills to install yourself and I checked with Auto-Sleeper on where and how to best fit the panel on the roof of my Devon.
The UK Sunworks technician was very helpful with advice too.

I recently purchased a 2 channel voltage regulator for my motorhome from SunWorks to replace the single channel unit already installed, this was a like for like swap.
I installed it so the solar panel on my motorhome could keep my motor battery charged as well as the leisure battery. I also purchased the wiring accessories needed to connect the unit up.
The service I received was excellent guiding me to the correct unit and advising which accessories I would need to correctly install the unit.
Once installed the unit immediately started to charge the two batteries.
I would highly recommend the SunWorks the company for the excellent products and above all the customer service I received from them.

    Tony,
I would just like to take the time to thank you and your team for the prompt response time and quality solar panel and charge kit I purchased.
Instruction provided for fitting was clear and fitting kit more than adequate making a complete novice like me feel like a professional.
I have just returned from a three-week trip where it performed faultlessly.

    Many thanks

    Matt

I needed a regulator for a 140W panel that I bought for the motor home. I was keen on having the ability to charge both the leisure and the engine battery so they are both maintained particularly during the winter. I wanted to mount the regulator next to the existing electrical panel and therefore having the cables connecting from behind was important, and as a retired engineer keen to have the actual status of the batteries, the amount of charge and the operating mode of the regulator clearly displayed is just brilliant. Have just returned from our first trip and everything worked as expected. It was easy to fit, a couple of questions I had regarding the operation of existing built-in chargers were confidently answered by Sunworks. It is one of the best things we have added to our motor home. it is attractive and discrete, informative and performs well.

I’ve had this controller for just over a month now fitted to my Motorhome, and I’m really pleased with it. Its June and the sun is shining bright every day, I have been monitoring the controller and its really looking after both the Leisure and Starter battery. Prior to purchasing I had done some research on solar controllers and had pretty much decided between two different manufacturers. What swayed me in favour of Sunworks was how helpful their Technical Rep was. The UK technical specialist was very helpful and put me straight on a few things I was unaware of. With a backup service like that, I decided I would buy Sunworks.

    Awesome!!

Controller works well and let’s you monitor both leisure and vehicle battery at the same time.

Using this with my 120 watt solar panel. Keeps both batteries charged in the summer and seems to maintain them well during the winter. Looks great in my motorhome and I am very happy with it. Straight forward to fit.

I had the Sunworks SB1C fitted to my Chausson CamperVan a few months ago, and it has performed perfectly. Before fitting, I had no problems with the leisure battery, but the engine battery was losing charge over long periods of non-use. Now, with the DB1C, both batteries are being topped up constantly, with NO involvement from ME – also very useful to see the state of both batteries on the clear display. Very impressive!

My engine battery went flat very shortly after I fitted a new head unit in my T5 Campervan … I have a 100watt Solar panel with a cheap single battery controller… I replaced it with this Sunworks Dual Battery Controller… Absolutely delighted with the result… It is so simple to install, cable to each battery and one to solar panel.. it is fully automatic, with several charge modes which it works out what mode is needed itself.. the display shows the charge state of each battery and the amount of charge plus the mode it is using at the time..no more flat batteries… I highly recommend this to any camper who has a solar panel and 2 batteries….

I have just upgraded from the Sunworks SB1C to the DB1C so that I can charge my engine battery as well as my leisure battery from the same solar panel. This is my third motorhome and my third Sunworks controller and I thoroughly recommend this product.

  13. I Salsbury

Upgraded my previous single battery controller to one of these so that both my leisure and engine batteries are kept fully charged. Fabulous support from Sunworks. Well recommended.

  14. D Durling

Following problems with an earlier single battery controller which appeared to give false readings, I decided to fit my boat with a controller for the solar panel that would treat both batteries (engine and domestic). A main criterion was that I wanted something that would just do the job without my intervention – I didn’t want any difficult setup procedures and I didn’t want to programme anything. The Sunworks DB1C seemed to fit the speci OK. No problem to install, easy to understand, and my batteries are kept at float charge when I’m away from the boat. It works very well.

I have nothing but praise for the product.

I have recently fitted a solar panel (150w) to my motorhome so to avoid flat batteries over the winter period & eliminate any worries with it starting after along period parked up, used a recommended installer for the installation with which they used a SunWorks digital controller. Excellent I love it shows me amps going to panel & voltage on both leisure batteries & cab battery.
My mate has a solar panel on his caravan which just gives lcd lights(green/red) but he has no information on the power from the panel or what charge is in his batteries !

Would recommend this controller to any Motorhomer.

  16. A Keaveny

The Sunworks Controller shows at a glance the Voltage of the battery and also the Amperage of the current from the solar panel, at a glance. I had one in my previous Rapido Motorhome, for 6 years and I am now changing the regulator which came with my new Rapido for a Sunworks. The 11 amp model should be enough, but if you have multiple solar panels, and winter in Morocco as I do, buy the 15 amp for the extra few pounds well worth it.

It is also the best looking regulator I have seen.
