Trickle charging your battery. Trickle charging can generally be achieved using a 50 watt solar panel. Your battery should charge up steadily when not in use, for most of the year. More power. To get more from your solar panel system we advise fitting a 100 watt panel. Benefit from additional power in the summer months and reliable charging during the winter. Power independence. The average user can achieve independence from the mains hook-up with a system of 200 watts.
This guide explains how to install your solar panel. We also explain how to select the correct cables, charge controller and accessories. Make sure you install a safe and secure system.
We fit all our panels with solar cables and MC4 connectors. We also supply special cables to connect your solar panel to your charge controller and battery. See these and our other installation accessories on our accessories page.
